Privacy Policy
Short version: your images never leave your device. The only thing we see is anonymous statistics about sizes and formats.
What happens to your images
Nothing. All compression, resizing, and WebP conversion happens inside your browser using standard WebAssembly and Canvas APIs. The image data is never transmitted over the network — not to us, not to any third party.
You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's developer tools, switching to the Network tab, and using the tool. No request will carry your image data anywhere.
What we do collect
For each successfully compressed image, we record a small set of anonymous statistics:
- Total bytes before and after compression
- Source format (JPG / PNG / WEBP) and output format
- Quality setting used (the percentage on the slider)
- Standard web request metadata: IP address, user-agent string
We use this to measure how effective the tool is and to detect abuse. We do not collect filenames, image content, thumbnails, or anything that identifies you personally.
Cookies
None for core functionality. If we add analytics later, this page will be updated and a consent notice will appear.
Third-party services
The tool loads a small number of external resources to function:
- Font Awesome (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — icons used in the interface
- Browser-image-compression (unpkg.com) — the actual compression library
- JSZip + FileSaver (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — ZIP bundling and download
- Chart.js (jsdelivr.net) — admin dashboard charts only
None of these services receive your images. They serve static files.
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to request, export, or delete. If you're in a jurisdiction where that statement needs more specific language — GDPR, CCPA, Zimbabwe's Data Protection Act — write to us and we'll respond in writing.
